Entrance test for iit admission
The entrance test for IIT admission is called the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE). It is conducted in two stages:
  1. JEE Main: This is the first stage of the examination, conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) twice a year in January and April. It is a computer-based test and is open to all candidates who have completed their 10+2 education. JEE Main scores are used for admission to National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), and other centrally-funded technical institutions.

  2. JEE Advanced: This is the second stage of the examination and is conducted by one of the IITs on a rotational basis. Only the top 2.5 lakh candidates from JEE Main are eligible to appear for JEE Advanced. The exam is a computer-based test and is considered to be one of the toughest entrance exams in the world. JEE Advanced scores are used for admission to undergraduate programs in the 23 IITs in India.

  3. For M-Tech admission GATE , for MBA admission CAT and for admission in B.Des and M.Des CEED exams are required.
