By road: The nearest town to Kedarnath is Sonprayag, which is well-connected to major cities in North India by road. From Sonprayag, you can either take a shared taxi or hire a private taxi to reach Gaurikund, which is the starting point of the trek to Kedarnath.

By train: The nearest railway station to Kedarnath is Haridwar, which is well-connected to major cities in India. From Haridwar, you can take a taxi or a bus to reach Gaurikund, which is around 225 km away.

By air: The nearest airport to Kedarnath is Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun, which is around 239 km away. From the airport, you can take a taxi or a bus to reach Gaurikund.
From Gaurikund, the trek to Kedarnath is around 14 km long and is a steep climb. The trek usually takes around 6-8 hours, depending on your fitness level and pace. Alternatively, you can also take a helicopter from Phata or Guptkashi to Kedarnath, which takes around 10-15 minutes.
It is advisable to check the weather conditions and plan your trip accordingly, especially during the monsoon season (July-August), as the trekking route can be slippery and dangerous during heavy rains.
